The students’ union has three arms: the Executive, the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) or Parliament and the Judiciary. The under-listed constitute the students’ union executive:

STUDENT UNION FEES
Each student pays a students’ union fee prevailing at the time of demand.
MEMBERSHIP OF THE STUDENTS’ UNION
Every bona fide student of the polytechnic is qualified for membership provided such student pays the necessary prevailing membership fee. Membership of the students’ union is voluntary.
STUDENTS’ UNION ACTIVITIES DURING VACATION
Some key officials of the students’ union Executives may be allowed to stay back during vacation periods to enable them carry out some of their essential functions. They may be entitled to some reasonable allowances from the students’ union finances to help sustain them during the period of stay.
REPRESENTATION IN OUTSIDE MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES
All officials and delegates sent to represent their unions/organizations in outside meetings and conferences must present written reports of the proceedings of such conferences and meetings to the student members of the appropriate organizations and to the students’ affairs department. This feedback is necessary in order to help justify all efforts and expenditures involved. Defaulters in this direction may be disciplined by the office of the students’ affairs.
